Art Director - 2007 to 2010

Created conceptual toy premium ideas and designs for McDonald’s Happy Meal toy programs and promotions. Provided additional creative art support to the Marketing/Agency creative team.

Introduced and applied low-cost effective solutions gained from working on New Business projects to the Happy Meal design process which provided a fresh creative approach to brainstorming and designing Happy Meal Toys that required a lower manufacturing price point.

Rescued an Agency client project with a flawed budget and tight timeline by providing an in-house 3D illustration which was not originally budgeted for.  The illustration was completed on time and the project was seamlessly delivered and received high praise from a very happy client.

Senior Creative Designer - 2004 to 2007

Created conceptual product/toy premium ideas and designs for non-McDonald’s clients for the New Business Development department.  Clients include General Mills, Gillette, Frito-Lay Mexico (Sabritas and Sonrics), Reebok, Nestle, Target, P&G, and Johnson & Johnson.

Utilized and introduced Lightwave 3D in the creative concept process to create 3D models which could then be used to output rapid prototypes for select client presentations as proof of concept resulting in several winning premium toy proposals for General Mills.

Received a U.S. Patent (US7543817B2) for the design and development of a combination hand-held game and candy dispenser for Nestle’s Wonka Brand.

Provided storyboard translations and transcripts for DVD versions of Marvel and Crossgen comic books. Designed user interface and DVD menu screens.

Studio Art Lead 

Supervised a staff of 5 artists by providing art direction, software training and streamlining product development processes.  Provided concept and art development of video slot machine games from start to finish. 

Established the 3D/Digitized look and feel of WMS’s trademark reel symbols with the first solo game, Boom!. Solo game projects include developing new game concepts, designing storyboards, designing math models, and creating the final production art, glass art, and animation.

Game credits include Filthy Rich, Boom, Jackpot Party, Life of Luxury, Monopoly: Once Around, Instant Winner, WhoDunnit?, and Swingin’ in the Green.  Other partial credits include Survivor, Hot Toppings, Monopoly: Free Parking, Milk Money, and Robin Hood’s Sherwood Treasure.

Received and credited for 2 game play patents.

Stern Pinball, Inc. (formerly Sega Pinball) - 1994 to 1997

Leading game developer and manufacturer of pinball machines.

Digital Artist / Animator / Production Artist

Created dot matrix animations for pinball games and provided traditional and computer production art for pinball cabinets and playfields.  Designed brochure/flyer designs, and novelty game concept renderings. 

Game credits include Baywatch, Batman Forever, Apollo 13, Goldeneye 007, Twister, Star Wars Special Edition and Space Jam.

Provided design assistance for R & D department for Annual Toy Fair. Created artwork for prototype toy samples, packaging, and displays.
